| Today at 6:30 p.m. The First days of the Fort Worth Opera on Art Matters Listen to Art Matters weekly on WRR Classical 101.1 FM. Since 1988, Quin Mathews and Sharon Benge host the weekly WRR radio program 'Art Matters,' which focuses on the arts in the North Texas area.
This week on Art Matters:
Sharon talks to Nigel Redden, who directs both the Spoleto USA festival and the Lincoln Center Festival (where he tries to bring activity to all the Lincoln Center venues normally dark during August) Quin talks to the artist James Magee, whose steel-and-glass sculptures are on view at the Nasher Sculpture Center. Quin also takes us to Magee's installation in the West Texas desert, which he has been working on for thirty years. Magee also is responsible for his alter ego's paintings, attributed to Annabelle Livermore.
