A site to behold In the next few days, WRR will unveil its redesigned Web site. The site gives it a fresh new look and reflects the internet usage of the classical music listener. We’ve gone back to the drawing board to produce a completely new, yet somehow, familiar user interface for our listeners.

A special thank you to all the listeners who have offered to help WRR with our web site usability testing. Stay tuned to 101.1 fm for the site launch announcement.

FWSO Appoints assistant conductor The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Association has appointed Thomas Hong as assistant conductor for the 2008-09 Season. Hong will program and conduct most educational and other outreach concerts, act as “cover” conductor and be prepared to step in should something prohibit the scheduled conductor from appearing, and assist the music director in day-to-day artistic activities of the orchestra. He also will conduct four exciting concerts as part of Carnegie Hall’s LinkUp! music education program, serving all fourth grade students in the Fort Worth Independent School District.

Dollar Days at the Arboretum
In an effort to address the concerns of prices at family venues, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is reducing all of its admission prices on weekdays in August to one dollar per person, with admission returning to its normal pricing structure in September.
The reduced price for weekday admissions August 1-29 from 9am-5pm is not applicable with any other offer. The parking fee of $5 per car remains the same. For more information about the Dallas Arboretum's August Weekdays please contact  214-515-6500 or visit www.dallasarboretum.org .
